Hi. I’m Jody - a graphic designer who combines strategy and content to deliver creative results with a purpose.

I am an experienced design professional with over 15 years of graphic design, marketing, strategic communications, and public relations experience, most recently in local government. I graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University with a BFA in graphic design and I currently live in Charlottesville, Virginia.

My Philosophy

We are inundated with design. Billboards, television commercials, websites, magazines, junk mail, bumper stickers, business cards, virtually every item in every store - it’s all been designed. Great ideas, inspiration and beautiful things can be found everywhere. So can poor design. 

I am energized by helping my clients stand out in this sea of design. To me, a successful design solution is a visual, verbal and conceptual method of communication that influences how a brand is perceived. Every client is different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution for a design problem. Listening closely to my clients, applying thoughtful and strategic aesthetic sensibility, and demonstrating it elegantly, swiftly and with enthusiasm – this is how I achieve successful design solutions. 

I love being a graphic designer because it allows me to not only create, but to help people as well: to be a sort of conduit for my clients and their audiences. Furthermore, graphic design is a field in which the ability to learn and develop skills is never ending. Being eager to improve myself, it is impossible to be bored as a graphic designer. There will always be room for growth.
